Welcome home OWEN

Yesterday, Newcastle united made the signing of the transfer season. I am not a fan of this club (needless to say) but I think Graeme knew the man he needed and he got him.It is a relief for England fans that their man is going to have regular football. They would have prefered him at Anfield where there is European football but this will do. Liverpool's pride in refusing to resign Owen might be their undoing. Good luck to Owen.

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER,

Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expectingthe usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!"

GOLDEN GIRL

You may be surprised to hear that it is not the world steeple chase tittle that makes Dorcas Inzikuru a star in my opinion. I cannot forget something that she said some time back. Before one of the earlier races, a journalist asked her about her chances of winning and she said she was going to win. She did not win then but she has won some thing bigger. For me it is this up beat spirit that makes her the star that she is. Do not forget she said even if it meant dying on the track, she was determined to win honours for her motherland. What a fresh breath of patriotism! Thank you Dorcas. For God and my country.
